Changes for the better

Hi All

There have been some changes to the kutchvalley site. On the cover (www.kutchvalley.com) everything still appears the same but underneath we are now using the opensource blogging software “WordPress” for writing articles.

This gives us a lot of free goodies some of which are mentioned below:

1) Login capability: you will now need to login to write articles. Registering yourself just requires you to choose a username and email address. But from now on you can edit and delete your articles.

2) Photo upload: you can now add photos with your article. Just click on photos on the “write post” page and you will be guided thru the photo upload process.

3) Categorization of posts: You can now categorize your articles as “Movies”, “Restaurants”, “Religion”, etc. Let me know if you need more categories. Just check the appropriate category box when you are on the screen for writing an article.

4) Automatic archiving capability.

5) Ability to upload files. You can now upload any kind of file (excel, word, pdf, etc) and link it in your article. Just click the “Upload” button while composing an article.

And many other goodies to come from the Open Source Library…..

For the time being all previous articles appear as being written by user “prashant”. As the users who have written those articles register themselves, I will assign the respective articles to their logins.

Feel free to experiment and post articles because now you have the power to edit and delete them also.
