Guidelines
City of San José — site policy
Due to strict site policies, transfer of money or exchanges of goods are prohibited on City of San Jose property. Please avoid any such transactions.
Workshops & sponsorship
Please reach out to the Picnic team if you would like to organize a workshop or sponsor any products.
Pets
Pets are always welcome — please keep them on a leash at all times, and be mindful of others around food stations and activities.
At the pavilion
Food and beverages
- It's a potluck event — Select a dish (More info coming soon...) for 20–25 people.
- Label your dish and note if it is Jain, kid-friendly, and/or vegan.
- Bring serving utensils for your dish.
- Have food ready to serve by 11:30 AM. Do not prepare food on-site.
- Reach out to the Picnic team to help you place your dish at the correct spot..
Garbage disposal
- Dispose of all trash in the provided bins.
- Parents: please help kids toss plates, napkins, and cups properly.
- The fun isn't over until cleanup is done—thanks for leaving the pavilion tidy.
Going green
Help us reduce waste at Lake Cunningham—every little bit helps.
- Please bring filled water bottles from home. Water will be available to refill and stay hydrated.
- We encourage using reusable cups and plates instead of single-use disposables when you can.
