Cricket World Cup Pool 2011

Hello Cricket Fans. During 2007’s cricket world cup we had started a cricket pool of money to predict the winner and KV fans had participated by putting 5$ and putting up their predictions. (Hemal and Prashant were the winner and runnerup respectively in 2007).

Here is the post related to that:

  8. as of today Jaideep leads with 9 points. all remaining 3 have 8 points each.

  9. All 4 had Ind in Semis. So Jaideep still leads the pack by 1 point. Jaideep: 11 points. All rest: 10 points.

  10. Maybe it’s time for another article to put in the prefereneces i.e who will win the Semi’s and go to finals 🙂

  11. And Prashant falls behind in the race since South Africa is out.

  12. Australia get a double whammy – losing to both “local” nations and had rain not washed out their game with SL, I am sure they would have lost to them as well.

  13. I will fall behind the rest, if Sri Lanka wins tomorrow.
    Then if Sri Lanka makes it to the Finals, I will not catch up even if India is the final winner. Pahel would win. Nitul wins, if Sri Lanka is the final winner.

    Go England 🙂

  14. Looking at the trend Jaideep, I think England will win today :).

  15. Seems like Sri Lanka has other plans :(. Have to rely on the total runs and wickets in the Finals.

  16. And now Jaideep goes to the bottom of the pool 🙁

  17. Prashant – maybe we should get a side bet going 🙂

  18. Standings before the Finals:

    Ajay, Nitul : 18 points (8+4+6)
    Prashant : 15 points (8+4+3)
    Jaideep: 14 points (7+4+3)

  19. Finals Standings:

    Nitul : 24 (8+4+6+5+ 1bonus)
    Jaideep: 20 (7+4+3+5+ 1 bonus)
    Ajay: 18 (8+4+6+ 1bonus)
    Prashant: 15 (8+4+3)

    Congrats to Nitul for being the winner of the betting pool. Congrats to Jaideep for being runner up.

    Nitul gets: 13.33 ( -5 his dues for pool) = 8.33
    Jaideep gets: 6.66

    payment will be sent via paypal

  20. Final points = Qtr + Semi + Finl + Wnr + Runs bonus + Wkts bonus
    Nitul = 8+4+6+5+0+0 = 23 (Winner)
    Jaideep = 7+4+3+5+1+0 = 20 (First Runner up)
    Ajay = 8+4+6+0+1+0 = 19 (Second Runner up)
    Prashant = 8+4+3+0+0+0 = 15 (Finalist :))

    Congrats Nitul 🙂
